For our advanced portfolio our team is going to create a music video. We prefered to do a music video rather than a film trailer because it is easier to convey the codes and conventions of the genre and generally we thought that creating a music video would be more exciting. Our team is called Team Go For Gold. The members are myself, Kate Bradley, Katherine Haycock and Louisa Marshall. Our pitch was approved on the 15th October 2010. We created moodboards to help us identify the genre we have chosen. As the result we are now able to continue with our planning for the filming. The song we have chosen is Use Somebody which is an alternative rock song from the Tennessee rockers Kings Of Leon . We chose this song because the lyrics are meaningful and it has the same concept of our narrative.
